It’s not just across Europe where Kramnik has been making waves; these waves have now hit the coast of America as Kramnik has been booked to play at The White Room, Miami during conference week.
Kramnik will take his progressive, techno and minimal sounds to The White Room’s Techno Marathon party on Friday 26th March where he’ll play alongside a diverse line-up of acts including Spektre (LIVE), The Flash Brothers, and Adelo Mora.
The WMC is the biggest event in the dance music calendar and to be part of such a large and significant industry gathering is another example of Kramnik’s rise amongst the DJ rankings. For more info about the event, visit The White Room’s website
Washington’s infamous MecTec brand will throw their first warehouse party of 2010 on Saturday 20th March with Kramnik as guest DJ.
The notorious warehouse space on New York Avenue is expected to draw in a huge crowd from around the city and beyond. Kramnik will spin a blend of minimal, tribal, and tech delights as he makes his debut appearance.
Pre-sale tickets are on sale now at $15 and shuttle buses to and from the event will be provided. To find out more, check out the MecTec Facebook group
Early Feb saw Kramnik travel from his hometown in Madrid to play in Brazil’s largest city, Sao Paulo.
Kramnik was called over to play two nights at an exclusive private function. Of his first time experience playing in this part of the world, Kramnik said:
“It was a great place to play, especially as it was right during Carnival time. The atmosphere across the city was electric! I’m really looking forward to going back”.
To find out when Kramnik will back in this part of the world, keep an eye on his forthcoming events.
It was at the BPM DJ event on Saturday 7th October that Kramnik made his first appearance in the UK. He was asked to play the event – which also billed the likes of James Zabiela and MYNC Project – in the Panda Hire Silent Arena.
What a fantastic concept. Pick up a pair of headphones on your way into the arena and select the channel feed via your headphones of the DJ you want to listen to.
Kramnik showcased a section of his second feature length mix, The K Song (1h 30m). Its underground, progressive sounds provided an impressive alternative to the more mainstream sounds played by the other DJs in the room. Overall, there was a great response from the organisers and crowds alike.
